What is CISM?

The International Military Sports Council (CISM) annually organises over twenty World Military Championships for different sports in which all member nations can take part. We also organize continental and regional competitions and every four years the CISM Military World Summer Games and most recently CISM Military World Winter Games are held. These are multisport events organized by CISM in conjunction with CISM member nations.

The 1st CISM Military World Summer Games were held in 1995 in Rome. 93 nations competed in 17 different sporting events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the end of the 2nd World War.

The 1st edition of the CISM Military World Winter Games was held in 2010 in Italy, in Aosta Valley Region, where 43 different countries and more than 800 athletes have competed at the highest level in winter sports.

Buses will transport you from the hotel to the golf course beginning at 6 am, running every 30 minutes thereafter. Competition rounds will begin with a 7 am tee time each day. The driving range will be open with balls for warm up. You will need to check-in at the course a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your tee time and arrive at the number 1 tee, 10 minutes prior to your time. If your tee time is too early to enjoy breakfast at the hotel, we will provide you with a light meal at the golf course. Return buses will depart for the hotel beginning at 1 pm, running every 30 minutes thereafter.

For your dining enjoyment, a special CISM lunch and dinner will be served at the golf course at 10 am and 4 pm. Available onsite or on the go.

Welcome Golfers,

Welcome to the Admiral Baker Golf Course at Naval Base San Diego. The world’s best golfers have traveled from near and far to represent their service in this year’s golf camp. It is our honor to host you.

We hope you have a great time showcasing your golfing skills and making your service’s team. Whether representing your service branch for individual or team play, we wish those selected the best of luck competing in the Armed Forces Championship.

Remember that the low 6 men and low 3 women in their individual competition will represent the United States in the CISM World Golf Championship. You will compete on Admiral Baker’s North Course, considered the best in the Navy, offering excellent conditions and large greens.

The competition will take place over nine days, from September 16th-24th. Please share the navylifesw.com/cism website with your family and friends so they can follow live scoring. Aside from the schedule, if you are not local to the San Diego area, we invite you to take advantage of the many great restaurants in Mission Valley, Old Town, and Downtown San Diego.
