Spring Fling 2024

Saturday, March 23 | 9 am-1 pm | NBSD Admiral Prout Field | Free

Let the good times bloom! Hop on over to Admiral Prout Field for a day filled with family-friendly fun.

Activities include:

  • San Diego’s Largest Egg Hunt (70,000+ eggs)
  • All Hands Car Show (register your vehicle here)
  • Rides, Inflatables, and More!

Open to authorized base patrons and their guests. No registration required.

 


Volunteer

Help us make this event a smashing success! We’re looking for enthusiastic people to assist with setup and day of event tasks.

Available volunteer shifts:

  • Friday, March 22
  • Saturday, March 23

Registered volunteers will receive:

  • Food and Snacks
  • A Letter of Appreciation and Community Service Hours

Is there a cost to attend this event?

Spring Fling is FREE to attend! Food and drinks will be available for purchase (debit or credit only).

Who can come to this event?

All valid military ID card holders and their guests.

Where is the event located?

Naval Base San Diego Admiral Prout Field | 2375 Recreation Way, San Diego CA 92136 (Dry Side)

What time are the egg hunts?

9:30 am and 11:30 am.

Are there different age groups for the egg hunts?

We have three different egg hunts for ages 2-4, ages 5-7, and ages 8+.

What if it rains?

Rain or shine, we’ll be celebrating! Please join us no matter the weather.

Which gates will be open?

Gate 32 (Corner of Yama and Main) and Gate 42 (off 32nd St) will be both open to inbound and outbound traffic.

Where can we park?

The best place to park is along McCandless Blvd (street parking and several large lots available). Many military office buildings are closed on the weekends, so you can park there as well.

This is a very popular event, and there will be road closures around the event area. Expect a short walk from your car to the event. For any other questions, please call 619-284-4054 or 619-556-7444.

No registration required. This is a walk-in event.
